Palins appeal to white women

Governor Palin, when announced vice president candidate for McCain, was thought to be the turning page in McCain’s party. Palin was supposed to persuade Clintons votes toward them. Most of the voters that Clinton had were white women that palin was supposed to try and get before they converted to presidential candidate Obama. . When Palin first was brought into the race a lot of Clintons votes did go to her but as soon as she started with odd ball debates and people realized she was not well informed, the votes went back to Obama. Palin appealed very well to working class moms and stay at home moms because she is a mother of four herself. With her being the governor and a mother, a lot of women thought she could relate to their problems. Sarah would pop up at random kids soccer, and football games to interact with the parents to show that she is just like them. A lot of women thought of her as paving the way for feature females as being the highest female in politics giving them a voice. Although Palin might have been loved by many white women, she was also disliked by many feminist. Many feminist do not agree with the picking of palin because they did not think she was capable of the job. Even though she was something new and exciting she lacked the knowledge and experience that is needed for a position that demanded so much time effort and knowledge. Now that a lot of the dirt on palin came out, it even changed some of the views of the mothers she once had, but instead turned out to be the complete opposite. She may have ended up causing Mccain to lose the race.
